Olive oil and diet


Olive oil is a natural fruit juice and rightfully can be considered as the 'perfect food' because fulfills many needs at the same time. It keeps consumer’s organism strong and fertile even if the diet program is poor.

The oil is considered as the most advantageous vegetable oil. It contains large amounts of vitamins A, C, B, D and E. In the Hippocratic code we can find over 60 medicinal uses of it. Also, it plays a major role in the development of the brain and the skeleton of children as well. It is the only product that has the same ratio of fats with the breast milk.

It is very nutritious and is digested by the body very easily.

The daily consumption of olive oil helps the human body to regulate heart function (fewer strokes), prevents atherosclerosis, cancer and ulcers.

Furthermore, it helps in the healing of wounds and skin diseases, regulates blood cholesterol and also acts against aging. It offers peace, fertility, digestibility and good quality of life. The oil could be termed as 'source of life'.

The high nutritional value of olive oil and its rich antioxidant properties, are those that  rank it at the top of the food pyramid of the Mediterranean people for thousands of years.

Hundreds of different patterns of consumption of olive oil are included in innumerable cookingrecipes, that came to us from generation to generation and hundreds of others are being created until today.
